Volunteer's Accomplished Projects

May 2010, two benches were built and then installed in the Laurel Woods Trail.
One located in the middle of the trail, the other on the south end near the railroad cut.
More than 100 bags of trash were collected during
April 10th and April 17th of 2010 by a Friends of the Trails volunteers. There's more! Judging from
the condition of the trash (mostly bottles and cans) and large refuse this stretch of Penn Green
Road along the Laurel Woods Trail has been a dumping and tossing point for trash from passing motorist
for several decades.

was erected on April 17th. This represents the first sign for the planned expansion of other trails to be constructed
in New Garden.

The tireless team of a dozen volunteers using donated equipment and with supplies from the Dockstater Foundation
assembled the sturdy structure during the weekends in the summer of 2009.
